Step One

upload your picture & write a message

IN THREE EASY STEPS

You’ve decided to make the world a bit brighter and took the first step toward transforming lives with Israeli innovation. Now, it’s time to create your own page. It’s simple and easy. You start by uploading photos and/or videos to express your desire to make an impact on the lives of thousands. Speak 1-on-1 with our team to establish a fundraising goal and the type of project that speaks to you: School, Orphanage, Medical Clinic, Water Pumping or Drip Irrigation System. But not to fear, we have tangible items at every price and creative ideas to help you reach your desired fundraising goal.

Imagine a life without electricity: without light to study at night, without computers or cell phones. Imagine you couldn't even turn on the sink to clean water. Thats what nearly 600 million people in Africa face every day.

BUT YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Join our Mitzvah Project Campaign and you'll have the chance to bring light to schools where kids still study with candles, and to clinics where women give birth in the dark. You can pump clean water with solar energy and power refrigerators to store lifesaving medicines and vaccines.

And you'll do all of this with Israeli innovation. So what are you waiting for?

Step Two

share your page

Share your personal message with your community. We have created templates for you to send to your friends and family explaining ways they can help you lift families out of poverty and toward cleaner, healthier and brighter futures. Spreading the word is easy and we’ll help too, by promoting your page across our social media channels. You also have the ability to track your fundraising progress online and receive messages from your community.

You’ve made a decision to take initiative and change at least one person’s life. Your fundraising goal is set – whether it’s to power a school or pump clean water for one village, you’re determined to make it happen. You’ve engaged your community by sharing your story and the belief that together, you can truly empower people. Our project managers on the ground will share updates, stories and photos that we will deliver to you. From start to finish, we will share the impact of your fundraising efforts in action: see exactly where your donation is going, receive on the ground staff reports for your project and check out photos and videos from the field.

BECAUSE YOU CAN HELP MORE THAN YOU THINK

ETHAN AND NOAH

When Ethan signed up for his Mitzvah Campaign, he knew he wanted to bring Israeli innovation to an African village. He sent out emails, got his 8th Grade class involved, and after a year, his younger brother decided to join in and celebrate his Bar Mitzvah with Innovation: Africa as well. Together, Ethan and Noah have brought together their family, school and community to help kids their age in Africa to have a brighter future.

JOSH

Josh turned on the tap to clean water every day for his whole life. As he was getting ready to celebrate his bar mitzvah, he started thinking about those who never had--the hundreds of millions of people without access to clean drinking water. So he decided to raise the money to bring clean water to 163 families in Kolonyi Village, Uganda.

SIERRA

For her Bat Mitzvah, Sierra decided to help Innovation: Africa raise funds for our first ever agricultural project in Tanzania. For months, Sierra sold gum, fruit, snacks and sunflower seeds at local softball games, which she called “Chew for Charity”. With these funds, and support from friends and family, Sierra funded Bagamoyo Women’s Farming Collective in Tanzania.
