Innovation: Africa is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization bringing clean water to remote Sub-Saharan African communities through Israeli solar technology. Since 2008, we’ve completed 1,300 villages, impacting 5.7 million lives by improving health, agriculture, and economic independence. Committed to sustainability, we ensure lasting impact through award-winning monitoring technology, and community skills training.
The main challenge in most African countries is the lack of access to energy required to pump clean water, keeping underserved communities trapped in poverty.
Still today, 620 million Africans live without access to electricity.
With no energy there is no access to safe drinking water
With solar energy we pump clean water and transform communities

Our UN-award-winning Remote Monitoring system, developed in Israel, is a game-changer for clean water projects, enabling us to deliver on long-term project sustainability. Our donors have a satellite view of the village and track live the amount of water pumped or solar produced at any given time. The system also sends real-time alerts if there is a malfunction, enabling quick issue resolution by our local team.
Since 2012, Innovation: Africa has a Special Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and has received multiple awards, including the “Innovation Award” from the UN.
